Common Operational Datasets
Common Operational Datasets (CODs) are authoritative reference datasets needed to support operations and decision-making for all actors in a humanitarian response. CODs are 'best available' datasets that ensure consistency and simplify the discovery and exchange of key data. (Click here for more complete information about CODs.) The evaluations below reflect established OCHA Field Information Services (FIS) criteria of the administrative boundary (COD-AB) and population statistics (COD-PS) datasets available on the Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX).
In the Country Information table, the column 'Year' is the most recent confirmed data of applicability; usually the original publication year or the year of official updates or projections. ‘AB-PS link’ refers to COD-AB and PS record and P-code matching. 'Live services' are web mapping services available for some administrative boundary CODs.
